About

No family should go unsupported when it comes to infant feeding resources. Following on from my own challenging experience, my goal is to provide that support within my wider community; and to bring awareness about oral dysfunction to families.

Infant Feeding & Tongue Tie support

My Story

My name is Daisy and I am a Registered Nurse, Tongue Tie Practitioner and Breastfeeding Counsellor. I have been working as a nurse for almost eleven years mostly working in A&E where I split my time between the adult and paediatric departments and most recently as a fertility nurse.

In 2021, I decided to train as a Tongue Tie Practitioner and Breastfeeding Counsellor due to the feeding challenges I faced with both of my children. I learnt quickly that the division of a tongue tie wasn’t the quick fix I was hoping for and we continued to face ongoing challenges with reflux, scar tissue and tension. The lack of adequate support and inconsistent advice shocked me and spurred me on to help others in any way that I could. I can truly relate from personal experience how hard and isolating it can feel during this time and understand the knock on affect it can have on those around you.

I was lucky enough to be accepted on to the Tongue Tie Acadamy's Advanced Tongue Tie Practitioner course run by the incredible Carmelle Gentle, who is a leading expert on tongue tie in the UK.

The service I offer is one born from a career of caring for others and a mother's instinct to protect her children.
